Armour Question
Quite new to GW and lvl20 W/E
I have decided to to get new armour for my W/E and have been reading through a lot of the posts i could find on warrior armour for a pve char. some of them, are quite old and after reading and crosschecking etc etc, i'm really confused. I want to buy the 1.5k armour and I'm in droknars forge. A lot of the terms that are used by you guys on these replies are not the same terms listed on the description of the armour. for example i have seen it refered to as 1.5K Kurzick armour, but in the description of armour Kurzick is not mentioned. I also have seen that when new builds for GW are released that things in the game change, so i thought it best to check with the guys that actually know what they are doing, rather than just taking an "educated" guess. What would be the best combo of armour for me and please keep the replies in "noob" terms so i can understand what is what. Thanks in advance, and this is such a great site with so much info, i cant wait till i can uctually understand it. |

Kurzick is just a style of armor available only in Factions. In Prophecies (what you're playing), different armors have different stats and looks; for example, Knight's armor has different stats and looks than Gladiator's armor. In Factions, you could get armors that looked the same but had different stats, so armors in Factions are named for both their stats and their looks; Knight's Kurzick armor and Gladiator's Kurzick armor look the same, but they have different stats. You can look up the different armors here.
As for best armor, get a helm with +1 to the weapon you're currently using, either Stonefist Gauntlets (if you use any skills that cause knockdown) or Gladiator's Gauntlets (if you don't), and the rest Gladiator's. The extra energy is generally more useful than the other armor bonuses. Stonefist lengthens most of your knockdown attacks, and the weapon helm will boost the damage your weapon does.

Savio,
Thank you very much for your quick reply and for explaining the difference in Prophecies and Factions armours. ALso the way you explained the armours to get also makes sense to me, but i would like to check something first before i go ahead. Here is the combo i think suits me best, based on your reply. Gladiators Boots Energy +1 Armour 80 Armour +20 (vs Physical Attacks) Gladiators Hauberk Energy +3 Armour 80 Armour +20 (vs Physical Attacks) Gladiators Gauntlets Energy +3 Armour 80 Armour +20 (vs Physical Attacks) Executioners Helm Armour 80 Axe Mastery +1 (Stacking) Armour +20 (vs Physical Attacks) Gladiator Leggings Energy +2 Armour 80 Armour +20 (vs Physical Attacks) I'm currently using an Axe, which is why i chose the executioners helm...hope thats right. Is there anything else i should consider, not that i would prolly have enough money, like runes etc etc? I have also seen a lot recommend Kights boots? Anyway, thanks again for your time and great forum here |

Knights boots used to be great, but theyre locational now, so full glads is better
RUnes: Get the best vigor rune u can afford, the Superior absortion, minor strength and minor tactics (Put each in a different part of armor). If youre playing pvp, get a superior axe rune and put it in your helm, if youre tanking, get a minor axe rune. |
